Graduate Student Recognized at Prestigious Atom Probe Conference

Michael Pavel

Michael Pavel, a PhD student in materials science, recently won best poster for his work, “Microstructural Impacts on the Oxidation of Multi-Principle Element Alloys,” at the Atom Probe Tomography & Microscopy meeting, held in Leuven, Belgium, September 17-21, 2023. This meeting, which convenes every other year, brings together more than 150 of the world’s experts in atom probe tomography.

Pavel is advised by Professor Mark Weaver of the Department of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering.
